bicrim: (my antidrug)

I just finished it. I am crying, and because it was so beautiful as well as so sad. So many dead. Lupin alone, my god. And Severus. They are all gone now, that whole generation, dead. I am so grateful about Draco, and for her loving portrayal of all the Malfoys. In the end, they just loved each other more than they believed in evil. Love saved them. I think that Draco just could not, would not, go where his family would not, even when he hated the side they were on. His loyalty was to them, first, always. I fully expected he would die, and am so grateful that he is alive, 19 years later. I think there is plenty more between him and Harry for slashers to be getting on with, and I am happy for that. Oh, god, Remus. That just kills me.

I'm sure I'll have more to say later, something more intellectual, but for now, all I have is this feeling of tenderness and sorrow, and gratitude.

When I read the spoilers I figured you would be relieved about the malfoy outcome.

I AM SO HAPPY I DIDN'T GET SPOILED!!!!
I found out about book 6 due to a LJ icon, so I've been avoiding the internet. I'm not a big internet HP fan(fanfics etc-I'm online too much as it is lol) but I love the books and I'm SO happy that she kept the core group alive...so they are living the lives their parent's generation SHOULD have, you know. IT WAS AWESOME! if it had to end the way it did was pretty great, IMO AND it leaves open new books about all of their kids.
