I have started a new community, called [livejournal.com profile] sahmmissingwork, for stay at home moms who miss their jobs and careers. We make the choice to stay home for our kids, but we miss the intellectual stimulation of our chosen profession! It's a place to talk about our feelings, our frustrations, and the careers that we are missing. All types of moms with all types of professions are welcome. Hope to see you there!

Sometimes I wish I had worked before having children. This is where I am supposed to be right now though. I just wonder what life would be like as a young professional:)

I wish I could stay home. I think the drug addicts can wait. [I work in a home, counseling them]

I will be poor. I really wish I stayed at home, but that's not financially feasible. But then I guess you get into... that that's just not financially feasible for my lifestyle. Poo.

Well anyway, I hope your community does well. :):):):)

ZOMG you used to counsel drug addicts too... why did I not add you to my friends list before?!

Yes, I'm commenting again.

Is Elliot like the most demanding child ever or something? Cause you said that taking care of him is easier than your work... and I would much rather take care of children. Hmm.
