Whip It!!!!!

I just got back from seeing "Whip It!", Drew Barrymore's directorial debut. It was kick-ass. Seriously, every woman, everyone should see this movie. It was the first film I have seen in probably years that passes the Bechdel test (http://www.antipope.org/charlie/blog-static/2008/07/bechdels_law.html). It was fun, funny, touching, and, best of all, had girls and women kicking ass, eating real food, having real friendships with each other, not letting boys treat them badly, being real people. Let me say that again--this movie had girls and women being REAL PEOPLE!

I would see it again, and will own it. I left this movie liking women, proud to be one, and wanting to kick some roller derby ass!
