Here we are again...

So last night, Elliot slept for 3 hours and then was awake for 4 hours, before going back to sleep for another 4. Tonight, I put him down early, at 10, and here it is, 1am and he is wide awake and up playing. This is so unlike his normal behavior that I don't get it at all. He always sleeps a good 10-12 hours at night- slight waking to nurse a few times, but right back to sleep. This is just crazy. I am tired. And I get to be the one up in the middle of the night with him because David has to get up for work in the morning. That is fair, but it still sucks. Any words of wisdom?

Rylie had a really rough period between Elliot's age and 19/20 months . . . she had a lot of trouble sleeping and staying asleep at night. I've heard others say the same thing of that age group.

I don't really have any advice for you, but I remember how frustrating that time was for me. I hope it'll be a short phase and that he'll get back on track soon.

Oh, and how does the Saturday after this coming one look for you guys?

cut out a daytime nap? perhaps he's sleeping more during the day so night time becomes awake time?

hope it gets better for you!! *hugs*

he's only taking one nap during the day now, for the past few months. I don't know what his deal is. He has a little cold, and a touch of an upset tummy, even though he is acting happy, maybe that is it.
