future homebirth!!!!

So, I just found out that the hospital-based midwifery group I used with Elliot is closing, due to lack of interest from the baby-having public. While this sucks for the women who want that sort of birth and won't be able to get it now (they were the only midwives who offered that service in the area), it rocks for me, because....that means that the last reason not to homebirth next time is gone, gone, gone!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking into homebirthing midwives now, as I don't think I want to go unassisted, and am so excited about it! David is on board, and even my mom-the-labor-and-delivery-RN-who is afraid of homebirthing is getting educated and into it!

Yes, I know I'm not pregnant yet. Yes, I know we are waiting a few more months before TTC. But this is so cool! And I am so ready for another one! Yay babies! Yay born-at-home-babies!

I want to homebirth if I have another one. I am so petrified of it though... especially because ti would be an H-VBAC

The thing I regret the most about my birth was not having it at home. Sucks that your other midwifery group went out of business, though.
